To surpass the yield, you would have to grow at least 17 batches every 24 hours, which is no small feat - even an average 20 minute delay in resetting the farms would prevent growing more than 16 batches per day. You would have to grow 16 batches of food every 24 hours to even equal the amount of food in the 120k/24 hr option, and you would only save 0.4M gold in the process. The 7.5k/1 hr option is faster and about 10% cheaper, but what I see as the greatest drawback is how often you have to reset it. I personally prefer the 120k/24 hr option as it is a good balance of speed and cost. So, which food is best? It depends on your goal. This works out to 7.5 kf/hr for 26.67 kg/hr. (5) 7,500 or 75k food in 1 hour for 200k gold This works out to 1.04 kf/hr for 16 kg/kf. This works out to 6.67 kf/hr for 40 kg/kf * produces faster but more expensive This works out to 1.35 kf/hr and 19 kg/kf * slower but slightly cheaper This comes out to 5 kf/hr and 30 kg/kf * best all-around option There are two very important numbers to consider: how many thousand food you get per hour (kf/HR) and how many thousand gold it costs per thousand food (kg/kf). The different food options are confusing, so I will try to break them down for everyone.
